Compensation:

The pay for this position is starting at $56,000 per year
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Eligible for a 10% annual bonus

Highlights:

This position is a contract assignment with the potential to hire permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs
The required availability for this position is rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating every 3 months)

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise shift operations in a mining and materials processing environment
Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed and lead monthly safety meetings
Maintain compliance with company policies, labor contracts, and quality standards
Monitor production rates and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure efficiency
Review and approve timecards, attendance records, and overtime requests
Track production metrics, including material handling, pre-dried clay processing, and equipment performance
Ensure proper quality control measures are in place and address any deviations promptly
Communicate production plans and shift changes with employees and leadership
Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Assist in employee performance management, including coaching and documentation
Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of work areas

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Supervisory experience required
Manufacturing experience required (experience with dry products and Elevation Transfer Units preferred)
Computer proficiency required
MSHA Part 46 safety training (24-hour course) required before starting
Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus
JD Edwards experience is a plus
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Physical ability to stand for long hours and handle material processing duties
