  • Current COVID unit, also takes med surg overflow
  • Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 up to 1:6, adjusted for higher acuity patients
  • Experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients required
  • Comfortable with lines, chest tubes, and titrating drips

    • ACLS
    • Level 1 trauma experience required
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a
      • Travelers expected to fill holes, block scheduling accommodated if possible
      • Weekend requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month
      • Holiday requirement: rotate in with regular staff
      • Floating requirements: within skillset, all staff float between all med surg units
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3 south only
        • All units have tele capability, patients monitored on all units
        • Scrub color: any solid color and professional
          • Additional Details
          • 50-mile radius rule
          • Will accept locals at $60/hr
          • Flu vaccine required at UMMC, only medical exemption allowed
          • Fingerprint requirement
          • In-person process can be printed in Jackson or Grenada MS the week prior to start (48 hr turnaround)
          • Remote process 10-14 days needed for processing
