a health care provider of a past severe reaction to the vaccineNEW

flexible with holiday RTO. Manager will rotate coverage to ensure
that everyone gets some time off if requested. Clinicians will
generally be allowed either christamas eve OR christamas day and
new years eve OR new years day. Must have solid experience as an RN
- 2 full years preferred with at least 6+ mos of level 1 trauma
experience or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot
of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines,
chest tubes WILL CONSIDER LESS than 2 yrs - if all prior experience
has been in a Level 1 facility or experience at a Very large
medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must
be comfortable with lines, chest tubes EPIC CHARTING experience is
required.Unit Med/Surg 6S - General MedSurg- # Beds: 32-
Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up
to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity
patients- Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS - Common
diagnoses/Types of patients current General MedSurg- Are RNs
required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio
and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to
cardiac unit- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac
drips on 3south only - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?
Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele
monitors?: every unit has tele capability, patients are monitored
on all units, central monitor station will communicate with RN,
3south tele unit also has central monitors at nurses station and
every patient is on tele - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Does the
charge nurse take an assignment? Both. Nurse managers are in house
M-F business hours, starting at 3pm M-F and all weekend there is an
adult house sup. charge takes light patient assignment, will take
full load of patients if needed. educator and manager for each
unit. Smaller units share manager and eduacator. - Are there nurse
aids on this unit/Ratios all units - RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap,
BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.): cpap bipap at night, RT to help,
high flow on 2n, - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow
self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hours, 7a-7p or 7p- 7a,
travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to
accomodate block scheduling as scheudle allows, open to weekenders
if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not
required- Weekend Requirement every other or 2 weekends per month
is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department - Holiday
Requirement: rotate in with regular staff - Is there Call or a
Standby requirement?: no - Floating Requirements?: within skillset,
all staff float between all medsurg units. higher acuity patients
would be given to core staff- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs
provided? any color, needs to be solid color and professional -
Unit/Department specific orientation first day, all paperwork and
attestations, logins for Omnicel and Epic, show around unit (a few
hours), discuss scheduling. 2 additional shifts with preceptorTact
