  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - Oncology/Hematology 5 South 48's--Shift: Nights/ 7p-7a, 12x4, 48hrs per weekLength: 18 weeksWeekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of departmentHoliday Requirement: Yes, must be agreeable to work holiday as needed by unit. 3 of the following 6 will be required: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years--Requirements:--
  • MS license
  • Solid training (1+ years at the same facility immediately after becoming an RN) Travel assignments with extension and strong references are a big plus
  • Level 1 trauma experience required or experience at a larger facility--with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients
  • Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/onc
  • BLS,--NIHSS
  • Chemo experience preferredOthers:
    • Charting System: Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR 2014 Certified EHR Suite
    • # Beds: 32
    • Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients
    • Common diagnoses/Types of patients hem/onc, chemo
    • Floating Requirements?: within skillset, all staff float between all medsurg units. higher acuity patients would be given to core staff
